OverHeard ~ A New Audio Play

Conversations between two individuals may (or may not) be what you thought to think. So much can lie beneath the surface, twisting, sometimes with the wind. Sometimes without. OverHeard is a new audio play from PocketBear - listen to it with headphones to get the full experience.

Your Town

It’s Our Town, but a hundred years later.

In Your Town, Donald Steven Olson gives Thornton Wilder’s classic play about small-town America a contemporary overhaul as the Stage Manager takes you on a tour of the Grover’s Corners of today.

This short film, starring Sam Tsoutsouvas, is both a biting satire and a moving reminder of what keeps us human in the midst of constant change.

Directed by Anthony Caruso, shot by Sebastian Blue.

The Home Play or, In The Son It’s Nice

This film is a revised version of the first act (including two scenes from the play’s second act) of a three-act stage play written and directed by Anthony Caruso. The one hour film was shot by Sebastian Blue and edited in mid-April, 2021.

A dystopian family drama-dy, using absurdist and expressionist techniques and manifestations, The Home Play focuses on humanity’s need for family—family of origin, family of choice—and the push and pull of emotions that can confound even our strongest efforts to achieve closure.

Starring May Diddy, Sarah-Grace Donnelly, Judy Hiller and Robert Moulthrop.

The Jane Monologues

When age creeps in, how do you cope? How do others cope? The Jane Monologues allows one woman (Polly Adams, "We Need To Talk About Kevin," "United 93," courtesy of SAG-AFTRA) to explore and speak about thoughts that often go unexpressed. This virtual production, directed by Anthony Caruso, from the full-length play Accommodations (by Robert Moulthrop), takes a hard look. It’s the day of the move to the new, classy assisted living facility, and Jane pauses to reflect on herself, her family, her friends, her life. And what it means to be alive.

At the moment … In the moment … Still. And breathing.
